Doctor of Education in Health Professions Education (EdD)

60 credit hours, covering education theory and curriculum design, assessment metrics and evaluation methodologies, educational technology, regulatory frameworks and policy affecting health education, and applied research methods.

You'll build toward managing educational initiatives with ethical, systems-level thinking; designing competency-based curricula grounded in evidence-informed theory; and conducting research that advances the field.

Most courses run in intensive seven-week sessions. Some courses run 15 weeks, to allow time for deep inquiry, doctoral writing and faculty mentorship.

Up to 12 transfer credit hours, earned at a B or higher and completed within the last 10 years, may count toward the 60-hour total. Your Program Director reviews transfer coursework individually.

Overall employment in healthcare occupations is projected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which publishes the current figures.
