Logan University students on campus

Overview

Requesting articles and books through Logan's library includes interlibrary loan services and tracking your requests. You can get research materials you need for coursework or clinical practice even when they're not already in the collection. You'll also find how to recommend new materials for the library to purchase.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Looking for something the library doesn't own? Logan students, faculty, and staff can request articles or books from other libraries in three simple steps:

  1. 1Sign in to your interlibrary loan account and select "Create Request."
  2. 2Fill out as much information as possible to help the library find your item.
  3. 3Submit your request.

Articles are placed into your account as a PDF, and you'll receive an email notification when it's ready to view. Books are available to pick up at the library service desk, and you'll receive an email notification when they're ready.

Track Your Request

To check on a pending or past request, sign in to your account and select "view/modify my current outstanding request."

Before requesting an item through interlibrary loan, check the library's current holdings — use the Journal Holdings for articles and the Library Catalog and MOBIUS Catalog for books.

Purchase Recommendation of Library Materials

The library welcomes suggestions for new materials that support the mission of Logan University and its collections. Depending on the request, purchase suggestions may be reviewed by the Library Review Committee against the library's collection development policies and budget.

You'll receive a follow-up on the status of your recommendation by email. Before submitting a request, check the catalog to confirm the library doesn't already own the material.
