Women’s Health Symposium Speaker: Dr. Cindy Howard

At this year’s Women’s Health Symposium, Cindy Howard, DC, DABCI, DACBN will lead a presentation on “Labs, Ladies and Protocols,” where she will address common concerns among female patients. She will discuss how looking at lab tests in the female population can help find solutions for issues like fatigue, thyroid imbalance, anorexia, autoimmune disorders and pelvic disorders. Dr. Howard will also explain which tests are appropriate to determine the underlying causes of these common conditions, while covering solution protocols to implement in chiropractic practices.

Dr. Howard is the president and owner of Innovative Health & Wellness Center, a multi-disciplinary medical center in Orland Park, Illinois. She also serves as the director of functional medicine and nutrition at Aligned Modern Health in Chicago, and the director of functional nutrition at Neurosport Elite in Davie, Florida.

Dr. Howard earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin. She then graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois, with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology followed by a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.

Over the last two decades, Dr. Howard has served in teaching positions for various colleges, universities and other organizations. She is highly involved in nearly a dozen professional associations, holding leadership positions in many of them.  She is certified in acupuncture, animal chiropractic, internal disorders and diplomate nutrition. Dr. Howard was presented with the Flynn-Lynch Award from the American Chiropractic Association in 2015, which recognizes an outstanding member with no more than five years of experience in the House of Delegates.

 

The 2nd Annual Women’s Health Symposium is presented by Logan University in conjunction with the American Chiropractic Association Council on Women’s Health. This year’s event will be on-demand October 17 through December 18, 2020. Learn more and register here.
