Women’s Health Symposium Speaker: Dr. Catherine Wonders

An experienced yoga teacher, chiropractic acupuncturist and chiropractor, Catherine Wonders, DC will lead a presentation on “Yoga for the Female Patient” at this year’s Women’s Health Symposium.

In her presentation, Dr. Wonders will discuss the latest research surrounding the benefits of yoga as it relates to women’s health and how to determine when yoga is an appropriate referral. She will also provide a guide to helping patients discover the type of yoga practice from which they will find the greatest benefit.

Dr. Wonders earned her 500-hour yoga teacher training certification in December 2017, followed by her 100-hour acupuncture certification from National University of Health Sciences in August 2017. A few months later, in April 2018, Dr. Wonders graduated with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences.

Currently, Dr. Wonders works in sports and spine rehab as the clinic director at Kazio Health in Rockville, Maryland. Prior to that, she served as an associate chiropractor at Wellness Concepts of Florida in Bradenton, Florida.

Dr. Wonders has held leadership positions within the American Chiropractic Association, Student American Chiropractic Association, the National University of Health Sciences Sports Council, and the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg Student Environmental Awareness Society and Omicron Delta Kappa.

She has earned multiple awards and achievements, had her research published, and done countless hours of community service, always working to make her community a better place.

 

The 2nd Annual Women’s Health Symposium is presented by Logan University in conjunction with the American Chiropractic Association Council on Women’s Health. This year’s event will be on-demand October 17 through December 18, 2020. Learn more and register here.
