Eliminating the Barriers to Higher Education
Students at Logan University seeking academic accommodations for specific learning disabilities, medical disabilities, psychological disabilities or attention deficit disorders are required to contact the Office of Student Affairs, Associate Dean of Students at Accessibility@logan.edu.
Students may make an appointment with the Associate Dean of Students to discuss documentation requirements as well as the disability services offered by Logan. Accommodations are granted on a case-by-case basis. The Associate Dean of Students determines the appropriate accommodations based on the documentation results and a personal interview with the student.
The initial step in requesting accommodations is to complete the Disability Notification and Accommodation Request Form. It is the responsibility of individuals with disabilities to inform Logan of their needs, and to provide documentation of the disability. There are three options on how to send the documentation listed within the Disability Notification and Accommodation Request Form.
In the case of a temporary disability due to injury or other event, the Office of Student Affairs will work with the student for referrals on campus resources and services. Accommodations and services will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Students who are struggling academically and have tried other resources on campus, such as tutoring and meeting with the professor and yet are still struggling, should make an appointment with an Academic Success Coach for a confidential consultation.
