As a Logan graduate who once sat in the seats of the Purser Center listening to a commencement address at her own graduation ceremony, Michaeala Edwards, DC (’09) is thrilled to be the speaker for the upcoming Summer Commencement.
“This feels like a real full circle moment for me,” Dr. Edwards said. “I’m really excited to be back on campus and to have the honor of giving the commencement address.”
Dr. Edwards owns and practices at E. Elite Wellness Center in Kansas City, Missouri, and has previously served as American Black Chiropractic Association (ABCA) President, Vice President and Treasurer. A member of the Board of Directors for the past 14 years, Dr. Edwards has seen and contributed to many changes in the ABCA’s history.
“It’s really cool to play a part in ushering in a piece of the next generation of chiropractors who will be doing what I’ve been doing for nearly 15 years,” said Dr. Edwards. “Even during these last few years when our world has experienced a lot of negativity, Logan continues to shine through their contribution to our future health care leaders.”
