Integrated Health Centers Present Trauma Informed Care Web Conference

Logan’s Integrated Health Centers invite students and faculty to a web conference on the topic of “Trauma Informed Care” featuring guest presenters Amanda Harris and Dr. Heidi Miller of the St. Louis Regional Health Commission.

They will discuss their chronic pain initiative to expand coverage for conservative pain management (including chiropractic care) for the St. Louis Safety Net population.

As the Strategic Planning Manager at the St. Louis Regional Health Commission, Amanda Harris co-leads the Chronic Pain Initiative, along with Dr. Heidi B. Miller. Previously, Amanda served as the Manager of Community Programs at the Commission, where she supported the development and implementation of Alive and Well STL. Amanda took a one-year leave of absence from the Commission to analyze an intercultural birthing initiative in Chile as a Fulbright scholar. She is an alumna of Washington University in St. Louis.

Dr. Heidi B. Miller is the Medical Director for Gateway to Better Health at the St. Louis Regional Health Commission. She also serves as a primary care doctor at Family Care Health Centers (Federally Qualified Health Center in St. Louis) and consults on health quality and equity issues for the St. Louis Integrated Health Network, Siteman Cancer Center’s Breast Cancer Partnership, and the Missouri Primary Care Association.
