When Wildwood, Missouri resident Jenilee Spaniol searched for affordable chiropractic care for her children, she found the pediatric clinic at Logan University’s Montgomery Health Center. A few years later, regular visits are essential to her family’s wellness routine.
Jenilee’s journey at Logan began when her son had recurring ear infections. As a mom preferring natural wellness methods, she sought an alternative.
“I’d heard chiropractic care helps with ear infections, so we tried it,” Jenilee said. “Since we started going to Logan’s pediatric clinic, he hasn’t needed antibiotics. We’ve also avoided constant doctor visits.”
At the clinic, her son receives adjustments, cranial work and lymphatic massages. These techniques help fluid drain from his ears and sinuses. Jenilee often notices immediate improvement.
“He’ll have a runny nose or cough afterward,” she said. “It’s like everything clears out and that’s exactly what we want.”
Her daughter also receives care at Logan. Initially treated for night terrors and mild sensory issues, she’s experienced significant improvement.
“She used to have frequent night terrors, but they’ve almost stopped completely,” Jenilee said. “The adjustments help her nervous system stay balanced.”
Chiropractic care was new for Jenilee’s children but not for her. She’s seen a chiropractor for allergy-related issues for several years, noting a significant improvement.
Beyond hands-on treatments, Jenilee appreciates Logan Health Centers’ holistic approach.
“They’re very thorough,” she explains. “They look at everything, from posture to swollen glands. It’s a full-body, root-cause approach.”
While student clinicians rotate through the clinic, Jenilee values the consistent guidance and supervision from pediatric clinic director, Allison Harvey, DC.
“Dr. Harvey always has great tips such as natural allergy remedies,” Jenilee said. “She noticed my daughter’s enlarged tonsils and provided helpful recommendations. She’s really attentive, and so are her student clinicians.”
The family continues to visit monthly, especially during cold and flu season.
“We never skip winter visits,” Jenilee said. “It’s become a part of staying healthy.”
Her advice to other parents: “Try it. Especially if medication isn’t working or your doctor isn’t addressing the root cause. Chiropractic looks at the bigger picture.”
