From South Side Skeptic to Global Lifestyle Architect: The Transformative Journey of Dr. Glenn T. Miller

Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Glenn Miller’s, DC (’19), path to becoming a wellness expert was far from predictable. His childhood was marked by frequent illnesses, fostering skepticism toward health care. However, Logan’s Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program changed the trajectory of his life.

After attending Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Dr. Miller transferred to Logan University in 2011, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Life Science before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Balancing two jobs while pursuing his degree, he had the added responsibility of impending fatherhood. The will to be a role model for his daughter fueled his determination to succeed.

Dr. Miller recalls being captivated by Logan’s campus, especially the Tower chimes, which marked the beginning of his transformative educational journey. Guided by mentors like Logan professor Patrick Montgomery, DC (’76), MS, FASA, LCP, Dr. Miller delved into the history of chiropractic, igniting his passion for healing the human body.

At Logan he engaged in a variety of activities. He joined the Student American Black Chiropractic Association (SABCA) and the Pi Kappa Chi fraternity, channeling his energy toward community service. His interest in holistic healing grew during a pivotal chiropractic mission trip to El Salvador.

“This trip was one of the best experiences that ever happened to me. I saw more than 300 people who responded favorably to chiropractic treatment,” he says. “I saw a greater need than temporary care. I saw the future of wellness.”

After graduating from Logan Dr. Miller embarked on a mission to fuse wellness and entrepreneurship. As “Dr. Wellness,” he crafted tailor-made programs to uplift lives. His reach expanded exponentially, with speaking engagements around the globe and a pivotal role in the health and wellness division of the 100 Black Men of Metropolitan St. Louis.

Dr. Miller’s journey was recently celebrated by Huami Magazine, which recognized his exceptional work and community engagement.

“You are who you always needed to be, gifted with the possibility to change whenever you decide,” Dr. Miller said.

Embracing this philosophy, he empowers individuals to master their time, talent, intelligence, relationships and creativity. Looking ahead, Dr. Miller envisions a future brimming with impactful endeavors. He hopes to propel more people towards optimal lifestyles while redefining the possibilities of holistic well-being.
