Shelley Sawalich, PhD, MS

Dean of Students

Dr. Shelley Sawalich (she/her) serves as the Dean of Students at Logan University providing leadership, vision, and direction for the areas of Student Affairs and the George A Goodman, DC Library. In this role, she has the opportunity to interact with and advocate for students.

Dr. Sawalich has worked in higher education for over 25 years and has previously served as the Director of the Academic Resource Center at Webster University. Prior, she was the Director of Academic Support in the Student Success Center at Saint Louis University. She has also served in various Student Affairs roles at The University of Alabama and Eastern Illinois University.

Within the larger field of higher education, Dr. Sawalich serves as a Higher Learning Commission accreditation peer reviewer, a member of the leadership team for the Womxn in Student Affairs Knowledge Community for NASPA, and a member of the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee through the Association of Chiropractic Colleges.

Dr. Sawalich holds a Doctorate in Philosophy in Higher Education from Saint Louis University, a Master of Science in College Student Affairs from Eastern Illinois University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
