Shailee Saran Varanasi, MS, MSc, RDN, LD, FAND, joined the Logan University team in 2018 and currently serves as an adjunct faculty member. In this role, she teaches multiple courses such as Nutrition, Future Trends in Healthcare and Cultural Awareness in Healthcare. Shailee is an accomplished dietitian with over two decades of experience in clinical nutrition, education, and research across the Indian subcontinent and the USA. She holds master’s degrees in Nutrition and Allied health from the University of Delhi and Barnes Jewish College, St. Louis. Currently a Dietitian Nutritionist III healthcare with Sodexo/SSM Health. Her leadership roles include serving as President of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics – St. Louis District, Northeast Region Director for the Missouri Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Social and Communication Chair for the Indian Member Interest Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She was also an Executive Board Member and Treasurer of the Indian Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (Delhi, India Chapter). She serves on the advisory boards for Logan’s Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance, Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, and Bachelor of Science in Life Science. Shailee has been recognized internationally with awards such as the Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the John M. Kinney-Nestle International Award for Pediatric Nutrition. An active community leader, she participates in health fairs and capacity-building projects for the Indian community in St. Louis, where she resides with her family.
