Andrea Applegate, MSPAS, PA-C
Associate Professor
Andrea D. Applegate, MSPAS, PA-C has been a PA for 15 years. She earned her undergraduate degrees in chemistry, biology and science and Christian faith from Southwest Baptist University in 2006. She then earned a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies from Missouri State University in 2010.
Following graduation, she began to practice as a PA in internal medicine, cardiology and critical care medicine . Since then, she has worked as a PA in emergency medicine, urgent care, cardiothoracic and vascular services practices.
In 2018, she returned to teach her alma mater, earning tenure and rank of associate professor in 2024 and serving as director of assessment. In 2024, she joined the team at Logan University as an assistant professor and principal faculty member for the PA program. She serves the Missouri Academy of Physician Assistants as the treasurer and the CME chair. In addition, she serves the AAPA as a member of the House of Delegates for Missouri. She is a CASA volunteer for Greene County.
Andrea enjoys hiking, pottery, reading, cooking, and good wine. She is married and has a son and two dogs who keep her busy.
