The College of Health Sciences (CoHS) is pleased to announce Laura A. Rauscher, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, ACS as the new Program Director (PD) for the Doctorate of Health Professions Education (DHPE) degree program.
Dr. Laura A. Rauscher holds three degrees from the University of Missouri-St. Louis which include a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology with a minor in Communications, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) with an emphasis in Counseling and a concentration in Couples and Family Counseling, and a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education with an emphasis in Counseling. She holds a state license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and national certifications as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
Dr. Rauscher has taught Psychology and Counseling courses at various colleges and universities in the St. Louis area. She has served on numerous dissertation committees as well as IRB and accreditation committees. She holds the rank of Associate Professor and has served as a Clinical Director for Field Experience. In 2019, Dr. Rauscher was named as a recipient for the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Rauscher has owned and operated a private practice for over 13 years, providing counseling services to the community and supervision to counselors-in-training for state licensure. She currently serves on the Committee for Professional Counselors for the state of Missouri.
Dr. Rauscher’s office will be located at MidRivers, but will also be on campus for meetings and events. Please welcome Dr. Rauscher to Logan University!
