Lauren Hendrix, DC (‘10), MS (‘13)
Biography
Dr. Hendrix was born and raised in St. Louis. She earned a Bachelor of Science at DePauw University and a Doctor of Chiropractic & Masters of Sports Science at Logan University. While at DePauw, she completed a research study that she presented at the International Society of Sports Nutrition’s Conference in 2006. “Disordered Eating & Performance Related Injury Rates in female collegiate athletes” was the beginning of a passionate connection to the emerging field of female specific research in healthcare. She opened West County Spine & Joint in 2014 and leads a team of 3 doctors. She speaks to female sports teams throughout the Midwest and is on a mission to change how women work with their bodies. Dr. Lauren specializes in working with a women’s physiology, not against it, and strives daily to empower females of all ages to do the same. Dr. Lauren trains for ultramarathon and triathlon races, cheers her husband on at Ironman’s, and her 3 kids on at endless soccer games, cross country & track meets and JROTC competitions. She has served as a high school cross country and youth track coach.
