CLL Awards Timeline and Process
The CLL Award nomination process adheres to the following Award Process Timeline. Two nominees are selected for the each award:
- In October, nominations are submitted.
- In November, nominees are reviewed for eligibility.
- In the first week of December, nominees receive a congratulatory email and gain online access to their nomination letters. The selection committee begins the review of eligible nominees.
- In the second week of December, awardees are notified by the AVPOEPL and invited to the University’s Annual Awards of Excellence ceremony, which takes place at the end of January. The Office of the President sends congratulatory letters to the awardees.
- In the first week of January, Logan News officially announces all awardees.
- At the ceremony, the nominations are presented, and the winner is awarded.
Nominations can be submitted by peers, students, or supervisors, and will be reviewed by a committee dedicated to upholding the values represented by this award.
CLL believes that the nomination itself is a profound honor. Each year, the selection committee is thrilled to present up to two individual awards and one team award, shining a light on exceptional contributions. Nominations are carefully evaluated to ensure that each nominee meets the baseline eligibility criteria, followed by a thoughtful rating process using the rubric below. This commitment to excellence inspires us all to strive for greatness.
Baseline eligibility criteria:
- The nominee is currently employed at Logan University.
- The nominee has been a Logan employee for 12 months.
- For team nominations, the team members must meet the two above criteria. A team is defined as a group of individuals working together to achieve a common goal.

RESPECT Award
The Logan Values R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Award recognizes and honors staff and faculty members who exemplify the core values of the university. This prestigious award celebrates individuals or teams who demonstrate exceptional commitment to Respect, Empathy, a Student-First approach, Positive Attitude, Evidence-Informed practices, Character, Teamwork, and Respect. Recipients of this award are those who not only achieve their goals but also inspire others through their behaviors and interactions, reinforcing a culture of excellence and integrity within the institution or community. This award is a testament to the dedication and passion these individuals or teams bring to their work and to their colleagues.

This award aims to recognize individuals who reflect the spirit and values of Logan, ultimately fostering a thriving community for all and making a significant impact within the Logan community. Nominees must consistently exemplify the core values of Respect, Empathy, Student-First focus, Positive Attitude, Evidence-Informed practices, Character, Teamwork, and Respect in their daily interactions and work.
EMPATHY Award
The Empathy Award is designed to recognize and honor individuals or teams who demonstrate exceptional understanding, compassion, and support towards their colleagues. This award highlights the importance of emotional intelligence and empathy in fostering a positive and productive work environment.

The Positive Attitude Excellence Award recognizes individuals or teams who consistently demonstrate a positive outlook and contribute to a vibrant, uplifting environment within the institution. This award aims to honor those who embody the values of positivity, support, and encouragement in their daily interactions with colleagues, students, and the broader community.
