Nancy Mitchell, MSN, RN is the director of nursing and dean of health science at East Central College (ECC) in Union, Missouri. Nancy attended ECC for her associate degree before earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Central Methodist University and her master’s in nursing from Maryville University. Karla Curran first considered pursuing her MS in nutrition while working as a personal trainer. Although many of her clients had well-rounded workout routines, she realized most did not know what to eat and drink to feel and perform at their best. “They had no problem working out, but they didn’t know where to even begin with their nutrition,” Karla said. “It was a huge gap for them. Five students from Logan University’s Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program attended a Career Roadshow in Milwaukee on March 9 and 10. Hosted by Logan Career Services, the event was designed to help student doctors explore a variety of career options and build their network of professional contacts.
