The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has named Lee Van Dusen, DC, VP of Strategic Performance & Continuous Improvement at Logan University, to the Board of Examiners for the 2020 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The Baldrige Award is the nation’s highest honor for organizational innovation and performance excellence. Appointed by the NIST Director, examiners are responsible for reviewing and evaluating applications submitted for the Baldrige Award, as well as other assessment-related tasks. Melissa Engelson, DC, DHPE, MS, CSCS, DACBSP®, ICCSP, assistant professor and clinical assessor at Logan, was recently appointed to the American Chiropractic Association’s (ACA) Sports Council Bylaws Task Force. The ACA Sports Council was established to help provide advanced educational programs to engage chiropractors who are committed to improving and promoting chiropractic treatment of athletes. Dr. Engelson will be working to review and update the council’s bylaws. This term will culminate at the ACA Engage in 2022. Students, faculty and staff were invited to watch the ceremony, which was emceed by Senior Clinician and Assistant Professor Allison Harvey, DC. With just a few weeks left in the spring trimester, Logan is asking faculty, staff, alumni and friends to provide messages of hope and encouragement to students at Logan.edu/WeCare.
