Logan Named a 2020 “Great College to Work For”

Logan University is one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to a new survey by The Great Colleges to Work For® program. The results, released in a special insert of The Chronicle of Higher Education, are based on a survey of 221 colleges and universities. In all, 79 of the 221 institutions achieved “Great College to Work For” recognition for specific best practices and policies. Results are reported for small, medium, and large institutions, with Logan included among the small universities with 500 to 2,999 students. The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has named Lee Van Dusen, DC, VP of Strategic Performance & Continuous Improvement at Logan University, to the Board of Examiners for the 2020 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The Baldrige Award is the nation’s highest honor for organizational innovation and performance excellence. Appointed by the NIST Director, examiners are responsible for reviewing and evaluating applications submitted for the Baldrige Award, as well as other assessment-related tasks. Melissa Engelson, DC, DHPE, MS, CSCS, DACBSP®, ICCSP, assistant professor and clinical assessor at Logan, was recently appointed to the American Chiropractic Association’s (ACA) Sports Council Bylaws Task Force. The ACA Sports Council was established to help provide advanced educational programs to engage chiropractors who are committed to improving and promoting chiropractic treatment of athletes. Dr. Engelson will be working to review and update the council’s bylaws. This term will culminate at the ACA Engage in 2022.
