Emily Hoffman knew from an early age she wanted to be a doctor. “When I was 4 years old, I lost my dad due to a ruptured aneurysm. At that young age, I decided I would be a ‘brain surgeon’ and fix all the dads so this wouldn’t happen to anyone else,” she said. Sarah Carter, PhD, joined Logan as an assistant professor in 2014 when she began teaching courses for the university’s online Doctor of Health Professions Education degree, which is now the Doctor of Education in Health Professions Education (Ed.D.) program. She worked closely with Ed.D. program director Laura Rauscher, PhD, LPC, NCC, ACS, CTMH, CCATP to grow the program and the courses she was teaching. Regina Glenn, PhD, RHIA, CHDA, CCS has been promoted as Program Director for the Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI). In her new role, Dr. Glenn offers administrative oversight and supervision for all facets of the degree program. Additionally, she will continue to instruct students within the program and is responsible for the capstone/internship program. When Logan Radik, MS-SC (’23) was growing up in Nebraska, bobsledding was not a sport he thought he would be involved in one day. “I grew up wrestling, so bobsledding was not on the horizon until much later,” he said. Logan came to Maryville University in St. Louis to wrestle and earn his bachelor’s degree in psychology. His senior year was during the pandemic, which caused wrestling to slow down. Amanda Stevens, DC, MS (ACN), BS (KIN) has dedicated her career to pediatric and perinatal care. She earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick and her master’s degree in applied clinical nutrition from Northeastern College of Health Sciences. Since graduating from Palmer West with her Doctor of Chiropractic in 2011, she has worked with children—primarily infants—especially supporting gross motor development and feeding success.
