Renee Gentle, trimester 7 student from Houston, Texas has been elected Central Regional Representative of the Student American Black Chiropractic Association (SABCA). Renee is Secretary of Logan’s SABCA chapter and the fourth consecutive Logan student to be elected to the regional position. She follows Logan students Kayla Dozier, Antoine Wright and Logan alum, Chohnice Daniels DC, MS, CCA. Logan University Partners with Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System

Starting this fall, chiropractic students at Logan University will be able to complete their clinical rotations at Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). The opportunity comes by way of an agreement between Logan and CAVHS. A recent law change in Arkansas now allows Chiropractic students to gain hands-on educational experience, as Arkansas had historically been an “observation-only” state. Michael DuPriest DC, PT, DPT, FACO, (’87) has worked hard to make this opportunity possible. Melissa Engelson, DC, DHPE, MS, CSCS, DACBSP®, ICCSP, assistant professor and clinical assessor at Logan, was recently appointed to the American Chiropractic Association’s (ACA) Sports Council Bylaws Task Force. The ACA Sports Council was established to help provide advanced educational programs to engage chiropractors who are committed to improving and promoting chiropractic treatment of athletes. Dr. Engelson will be working to review and update the council’s bylaws. This term will culminate at the ACA Engage in 2022.
