Scott Bird, CSCS, RSCC*E, MSCC, SCCC will oversee the field experience courses in Logan’s new Master of Science in Strength & Conditioning program. These courses offer hands-on opportunities to immerse students in an athletic performance setting such as in private gyms or high school, collegiate and professional athletics. Scott has more than 30 years of experience implementing strength and conditioning programs for multiple sports and has participated in 22 championship and bowl experiences. In just a few weeks’ time, Jake Schrom will fly to Tokyo, Japan to represent Team USA for Para Powerlifting at the postponed 2020 Paralympic Games. However, for Team USA Para Powerlifting Team High Performance Manager and Coach Mary Hodge, they are already looking to fall 2022 and beyond. Last week, Logan University attended the National Strength & Conditioning Association’s (NSCA) National Conference in Orlando, where they met with significant leaders in the industry of strength and conditioning, networked with other universities, and introduced Logan’s brand-new Master of Science in Strength & Conditioning program, coming summer 2022.
