On Wednesday, September 6, Logan University opened the doors to the brand-new Fuhr Science Center building. Timothy “TJ” Williamson, DC (’19), attended the University of Arkansas for his bachelor’s degree in exercise science. While there he worked as a personal trainer and at a physical therapy practice helping a variety of patients from CrossFit athletes to Razorback football players. “The chiropractors I worked with while at Arkansas were Active Release Technique (ART) specialists who worked closely with athletes on myofascial release,” said Dr. Williamson. “At the time I knew I wanted to get into the medical field but wasn’t sure which path to take. Logan University alumna Sierra Girton recently became Xavier University’s first full-time strength and conditioning coach dedicated to only the women’s basketball program. “Every day I feel blessed that I am getting the opportunity to work in collegiate athletics—specifically with women’s basketball because it is the sport I am most passionate about,” Sierra said.
