Ferrahs Abdelbaset’s, DC (’08) introduction to chiropractic traces back to the early 2000s after getting the opportunity to shadow a graduate from Logan University’s Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program. It was during this experience he discovered his passion for whole health care. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Saint Louis University, Dr. Abdelbaset enrolled in Logan’s DC program. “The DC program was great,” Dr. Abdelbaset said. “It was filled with wonderful classmates and a lot of faculty members who were great mentors. Emily Hoffman knew from an early age she wanted to be a doctor. “When I was 4 years old, I lost my dad due to a ruptured aneurysm. At that young age, I decided I would be a ‘brain surgeon’ and fix all the dads so this wouldn’t happen to anyone else,” she said. When Logan Radik, MS-SC (’23) was growing up in Nebraska, bobsledding was not a sport he thought he would be involved in one day. “I grew up wrestling, so bobsledding was not on the horizon until much later,” he said. Logan came to Maryville University in St. Louis to wrestle and earn his bachelor’s degree in psychology. His senior year was during the pandemic, which caused wrestling to slow down.
