Honoring the Career and Service of Dr. Max Zebelman

St. Louisan Max Zebelman, DC (’49), PhD, a long-time friend of many in the Logan community, passed away this week. Dr. Zebelman led a fascinating life from Vaudeville performer and an Army Medic during WWII to a chiropractor and later a counselor and psychology instructor at Logan for many decades. Logan Professor Patrick Montgomery, DC, MS, FASA, said Dr. Zebelman’s experience in the military allowed him to help many former GIs from the WWII, as well as the Korean and Vietnam wars assimilate back into civilian life. “He helped dozens of Logan students as an integral part of the Logan …

Preceptorship Propels Logan Alum’s Interest in Integrated Care Settings

Kaelyn Mead, DC (’19) might agree with the saying, ‘When one door closes, another one opens.’ “As a student at a different chiropractic college, I was extremely interested in applying for residencies as part of my student journey,” said Dr. Mead. “Upon finding out that they would not be able to set me up for a clinical experience, I transferred to Logan because of their successful track record of students securing clinical integrated preceptorships and residencies.” Dr. Mead recently completed an eight-month preceptorship at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, just before graduating from Logan in …

The Specific Chiropractic Adjustment Seminar

Logan is proud to present a special postgraduate seminar instructed by practicing chiropractors, for practicing chiropractors. The seminar will be held 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16 (includes hot lunch) and 8 a.m. to 2 pm. Sunday, Nov. 17 (includes hot brunch). Door prizes are available. Nine highly qualified experts―all Logan alumni―will present 12 hours of chiropractic techniques and demonstrate the adjustments they have used in their practices and taught to thousands of students and doctors for more than 40 years.
