Logan University graduate Beatrice B. Hagen (‘40) went on to break two notable chiropractic gender barriers: serving as the first female president of an accredited chiropractic college (Logan University, 1982-92) and the first woman to serve on the Council of Chiropractic Education (1986-88). Dr. Hagen’s passion for education and furthering the profession of chiropractic care while breaking gender barriers continues to inspire female chiropractors to this day. Each year, a Doctor of Chiropractic is chosen to participate in Logan’s Integrated Health Care residency. An extremely competitive program, this position is open to any DC eligible for licensure or with a license in the state of Missouri who has graduated from an accredited chiropractic program and has a passion and desire to work in integrated clinical settings such as community-based health centers and hospitals.
