On April 22, 2023, seven students made history when they became the first graduating class from Logan’s Master of Science in Strength & Conditioning (MS-SC) program. The program was announced in the fall of 2021 and classes officially began in summer 2022. Karla Curran first considered pursuing her MS in nutrition while working as a personal trainer. Although many of her clients had well-rounded workout routines, she realized most did not know what to eat and drink to feel and perform at their best. “They had no problem working out, but they didn’t know where to even begin with their nutrition,” Karla said. “It was a huge gap for them. Michelle Hately discovered her passion for nutrition while working in an entirely different industry. She was working in IT consulting and was on the road a lot.
