Steve Ryan, MA

Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time)

Steve Ryan, MA, joins Logan University with many years of experience teaching in online and face-to-face traditional classrooms. Steve has been a university instructor for the past 19 years. Steve was recognized in 2017 as Faculty of the Year at Stanbridge University where he teaches, and in May 2013 Steve was awarded Distinguished Faculty of the Year by the University of Phoenix-San Diego campus. Steve continues to be a content creator and instructor for English and Speech classes for American Military University (AMU) for the past 11 years. Steve was recognized for his work with AMU at an awards function in Los Angeles in 2019. Steve also delivers workshops for Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, where he has been teaching and tutoring live with students around the world since 2009.

Steve consistently attends and participates in academic workshops through McGraw Hill, Pearson Publishing, and Harvard Publishing to keep current with the latest trends, technologies, and software that can be developed for his classes and students. Steve has used the experience he has learned to create unique assignments for students in the health care field, specifically related to helping adults communicate through tele-health (which has been instrumental during the COVID crisis).

Steve’s prior experiences include being a journalist for the New York Post newspaper from 1985 to 1994 where he achieved high-profile face-to-face interviews with legendary sports figures including Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, and Mickey Mantle. Steve went on to become an award-winning editor-in-chief for a major publishing firm in Los Angeles where he worked with producing two major publications with worldwide writers, photographers, and editors on the O.J. Simpson trial. Steve’s work has also been included in the Art of Writing published by Pearson and as a co-author in a book titled Global Communication in the 21st Century.

At the heart of Steve’s vast experience and success is the desire for honesty, integrity, truth, and success for adult learners. Steve strives to provide students quality feedback and helps students to grow personally and professionally.
