Melissa Engelson, DC, MS, CCSP, DACBSP, DHPE

Dr. Melissa Engelson earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science (2003) from Southwest State University located in Marshall, Minnesota and the Doctorate of Chiropractic (2007) degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University’s College of Chiropractic located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Engelson completed a residency in Sports and Rehabilitation (2010-2012) at Logan University, where she also completed the Master of Science in Sports Science and Rehabilitation degree (2012).

In addition to her duties in the Human Performance Center at Logan University, Dr. Engelson teaches for the College of Health Sciences for the Master of Science in Sports Science and Rehabilitation program and undergraduate courses. She is a member of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP) and holds diplomate status (DACBSP) with them. She is also a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Sports Council as well as the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS), where she acquired her Internationally Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (ICCSP) recognition. While her background primarily is in the sports and rehabilitation setting with people of all ages and activity levels, her background also includes working with the geriatric population, personal injury and people with disabilities.
