Dr. Kemmy Ritter Elected WCCS Director of Public Relations

Kemmy Ritter, DC (‘19) was instrumental in bringing the World Congress of Chiropractic Students (WCCS) back to Logan University’s campus after nearly a decade of inactivity. Originally from Brazil, Dr. Ritter has always been interested in learning more about chiropractic care around the globe. When she met WCCS members at an American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and World Federation of Chiropractic Congress (WFCC) event, she was immediately intrigued with the organization.

In 2017, Dr. Ritter and a few other students were responsible for reestablishing the Logan University chapter of WCCS.

“I am so passionate about WCCS because of the platform this organization provides for students around the globe to discuss important topics in health care and education,” Dr. Ritter said. “It is so beneficial for students to learn the perspectives of their peers from around the world. It really helps broaden students’ way of thinking.”

Dr. Ritter was initially elected as the regional coordinator for the Americas region, where she served a one-year term. Her passion for the organization led to her current role as director of public relations.

In this Board of Directors role, Dr. Ritter is excited to continue spreading the word about WCCS and helping the organization gain new chapters and members. She strives to be a mentor for students who join WCCS by helping them realize their full potential and encouraging them to take advantage of all the opportunities WCCS has to offer.

“My advice for students who are interested in becoming involved with WCCS or another organization would be to show up,” Dr. Ritter said. “You don’t know what you’re missing out on if you don’t show up. Take advantage of the opportunities and support these organizations provide. You’ll carry the things you learn with you in all future endeavors.”
