Resources for Distance Learners

Amid the impact COVID-19 has had on higher education, Logan University’s Experiential Learning team is committed to building upon existing resources and developing programs to meet the needs of distance learners.

“Now, more than ever, it’s particularly important to provide students with easy access to a full range of services and support,” said Dana Wehrli, assistant dean of experiential learning, pictured above with a student in an earlier photo. “We have an abundant amount of programs and resources that help students stay connected and informed.”

Dana encourages students to check out the following:

  • Utilize LoganConnect to obtain helpful resources and stay informed about campus events.
  • Explore the career platform Handshake for internship opportunities and job leads available to all Logan University students. Log on using the same credentials used to access your university email account.
  • DC students are encouraged to visit our Jobs & Marketplace site to view job postings, equipment, and practice for sale information.
  • Check out the Career Resource Center on Canvas for discipline-specific career information, along with resources to help students prepare application materials, develop a job search strategy, navigate various types of interviews, and much more.
  • Follow @loganstudents on Instagram and like Logan Wellness Center, Intramurals, and Club Sports on Facebook to stay up-to-date on activities such as virtual field trips, concerts, movie nights, and interactive polls that Student Involvement is offering to help students stay engaged with one another while staying on top of their coursework. Additionally, Logan’s Sports & Activities launched an eSports intramural league, and exercise videos are being created and shared through social media to help students stay fit while staying safe at home.
  • Career Services is hosting “Mock Madness” to help students practice their interview skills via Zoom.
