Symposium 2025: What’s New

In celebration of its 90th Anniversary, Logan University looks forward to welcoming alumni and industry professionals to campus May 1-3, 2025, for an engaging and education-packed weekend.

During Symposium 2025, attendees will earn 19 hours of continuing education credit, and have access to social events to reconnect with peers and an opportunity to witness University history during the investiture ceremony of Logan’s eighth president, Garrett Thompson, DC, PhD.

Campus Updates:

For the first time, Symposium will be held entirely on campus, which offers attendees the opportunity to see the various changes that have occurred in the last year.

  • Fuhr Science Center
    • Completed in Fall 2024, the Fuhr Science Center underwent a 33,426-square-foot renovation and 14,400-square-foot expansion thanks to a generous gift from Arlan W. Fuhr, DC (’61) and Mrs. Judi Fuhr. The renovations increased Logan’s capacity for hands-on learning by more than doubling the university’s anatomy lab space, creating new workspaces for hands-on simulated learning, expanding areas available for student collaboration and updating technique classrooms. More information on the Fuhr Science Center can be found here.
  • Carter | Eberline Administration Building
    • Named after two 1979 graduates of Logan’s College of Chiropractic—Paul Eberline, DC (’79) and Joseph Carter, DC (’79)—the remodeled Carter | Eberline Administration Building reopened in Fall 2024 and includes an updated lobby, library, bookstore and coffee area, as well as expanded student study areas and collaboration spaces. Learn more about the building renovations here.
  • Coggins Education Wing
    • Logan unveiled the Coggins Education Wing in Spring 2024, named after alumnus William Coggins, DC (’40), who served as the University’s third president for 18 years. Encompassing the north end of the Carter | Eberline Administration Building, the Coggins Education Wing features a mural of Dr. Coggins’ accomplishments and is home to the University’s student center. Click here for more information on the Coggins Education Wing.
  • Logan Park
    • In Spring 2024, Logan celebrated the grand opening of Logan Park, the first and only park in Chesterfield’s Ward 3. The four-acre green space on Logan’s campus is open to the community and features a playground, trail, pavilion and pickle ball courts. Information on Logan Park can be found here.

Presidential Investiture Ceremony:

The Presidential Investiture Ceremony will occur during the Symposium 2025 weekend and all attendees are invited! During the ceremony at Logan’s Purser Center on Friday, May 2, Dr. Thompson will officially be inaugurated as the eighth president of Logan University.

Events & Entertainment:

In addition to the Presidential Investiture Ceremony, Symposium 2025 also includes various events.

  • Groove in the Grass: Concert and Refreshments (sponsored by Loomis Enzymes)
    • Directly after the continuing education sessions on Thursday, May 1, all are invited to gather at the Loomis Amphitheater (on campus) for refreshments and a concert! No registration required.
  • Homecoming BBQ in the Lou
    • It wouldn’t be a St. Louis celebration without BBQ! After the CE sessions on Friday, May 3, join us for a BBQ on campus. Pre-registration for the BBQ is required and can be found when registering for Symposium.
  • Morning Yoga
    • Enjoy a moment of bliss during the new Morning Yoga sessions. Hosted Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3, attendees who sign up for the Morning Yoga sessions will meet on campus at the fountain and start their day with movement and mindfulness. Pre-registration for Morning Yoga is required. Click here to register for the Friday session and here for the Saturday session.
  • Disc Golf Tournament
    • Wrap up the weekend with a disc golf tournament! The family friendly tournament will be held at 10 AM on Sunday, May 4. The event will be hosted on Logan’s disc golf course, a 9-hole course that’s fun for all experience levels. Register here before April 27th and learn more about the tournament here.
