Logan DC Students Compete in 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship

The 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship, which included the top 30 teams from around the world, took place at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego this summer. Didier Fardin, a trimester 2 Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) student, and Gabriel Fardin, a trimester 3 DC student, represented their father’s country of France in the tournament and placed 18th in the world.

The twins have been playing lacrosse for more than 10 years. “We are honored to be able to represent France and to compete with and against great players from around the world,” said Gabriel.

Didier and Gabriel only had about six months to prepare for the championship. Didier was coming back from a patellar tendon surgery, so training was tough as he worked to regain full running speed in a short amount of time.

“Preparing individually and balancing school was difficult during that time,” Didier said. “But we tried to keep it simple and work through the fundamentals of the game.”

At the end of the 11-day tournament, the United States defended its title with a 10-7 victory over Canada in front of a crowd of more than 15,000 spectators.

Congratulations to all the players!
